The Senior Housing Architecture and Design Challenge gives students an opportunity to create industry-specific work and gain feedback from industry professionals. The senior housing sector faces incredible challenges around housing and caring for elderly individuals worldwide. This program will expose students to the design criteria and thought processes needed in developing housing solutions for this growing population.

The intent of the competition is to provide a practical design challenge for use in an architecture design studio or course. Any class or school participating shall be responsible for students’ participation and decisions relating to participation in the competition.

The competition has two categories in which students can submit entries:

If working in a team setting, no more than 5 students should be part of each team. Projects are meant to be incorporated into the curriculum for the school year and should principally be part of a specific program, design studio or related class.
