Emirates Score Plus invites Cycle – 1 students of UAE to enhance their skills in Numeracy through a series of competitions namely, EMath3Challenge. The first one in this endeavor is Math League based on Speed and Accuracy and will be conducted on 24th January 2022 to celebrate International Day of Education. This competition is designed in a way to cater to the needs of students at various levels and they get an opportunity to answer questions of their choice. Questions are differentiated to ensure the progress of all kinds of learners varying from Students of Determination to Gifted and Talented.
By participating in this competition, students will challenge themselves to sharpen the following skills:
- Comprehension
- Logical Reasoning
- Problem Solving
- Critical Thinking
Important stages in the competition are:
- Registration – Individual students or schools can click here to register.
- Completion of the competition within the time limit of 20 minutes on 24th January 2022.
- Submission – Each student has to submit through the competition portal within the time limit.
- Evaluation using the scoring criteria
What Competitors do:
- Each competitor will get a set of standard questions.
- There is a set of 10 questions each in BRONZE, SILVER and GOLD level.
- Bronze level contains questions of basic understanding; Silver level contains application level questions and Gold level contains critical thinking questions.
- Each question in Bronze level carries 2 points, Silver level carries 3 points and Gold level carries 5 points.
- Students can choose questions from any level (Gold, Silver, or Bronze).
- Calculators, notes, reference material, dictionaries, and other aids (including those, that can be accessed from computers and devices) are not permitted. No aids other than a pencil and scratch papers are allowed.
- Students are allowed to go back to previous questions during the test period.
- No negative marks for the wrong answers.
- Marks will be awarded for accuracy and level of answers in minimum time.
- Total time to attempt all the questions is 20 minutes.
