SAGE provides a tiered approach to learning how to use entrepreneurship to solve global challenges. The competition provides robust curriculum to guide students through the process.

SAGE competitions are conducted at local, National, and International levels. Teams must create a social enterprise that addresses a global need and submit a business concept and presentation. Teams rise through the levels and ultimately present to an international competition judging panel.

A SAGE Business is judged on five criteria (20 points each): (1) Creativity and Innovation, (2) Social Impact, (3) Business Operations, (4) Likelihood That the Business Will Continue, and (5) Presentation (Written, Oral, and a Questions and Answers Period).
