Rising Starters™ is a high school pitch competition that develops an entrepreneurial mindset in students. Participating students will gain essential skills that prepare students to face life’s challenges. Students who have an entrepreneurial mindset and practice in these skills are more successful and appealing to colleges and employers.
Drexel University's Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship is challenging high school students to reach for new heights, develop an idea for a business (profit or not for profit), then pitch to a panel of judges. Each high school will select a representative (individual or group) to compete in this virtual competition. Throughout competition preparation and execution, students will gain skills such as recognizing needs, developing opportunities and moving ideas forward – all crucial skills that students can apply to any field they pursue.
Rising Starters Award
The winning teams/individuals from each school have the opportunity to compete for a $2,500 cash prize in a final competition hosted virtually by Drexel University's Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship.
