The Medusa Mythology Exam is an international exam, offered both online and on paper, designed to test students' knowledge of Greco-Roman mythology.

Founded in 1998 by Matthew Webb, the Medusa Mythology Examination allows students grades 6 through 12 worldwide the opportunity to demonstrate their enthusiasm and excellence in the field of Greco-Roman mythology and to be recognized accordingly for them; to encourage students pursuing the study of mythology; and to enable students to better understand the contemporary world through a richer knowledge of the ancient world.

The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, including at least one visual question. Students are given 40 minutes to complete the exam. The exam will offered in both a paper and online (via quia.com) format. All registered students MUST take the test on the same day. We are unfortunately unable to issue refunds to students who miss the testing date.

Scored based on the number of correct answers submitted in the allotted time for the exam.

Eligibility:
The Medusa Exam is open to public, private, and home-school students.  Public or private school students must be in the 6th grade to 12th grade; home-school students must be eleven years old.  Latin, English, and home-school teachers are encouraged to enroll their interested students. There are two fees: a per-student fee of $4 and a school registration fee of $15 ($25 for schools outside of the US). Homeschool students will still have to pay the school registration fee.
