Each fall at MIT, nearly 300 young female mathematicians compete in our challenging test of mathematical creativity and insight. Our goal is to promote gender equity in the STEM professions and to encourage young women with exceptional potential to become mathematical and scientific leaders.

Each year contestants come to Cambridge for the weekend, take part in our pre-contest games night, complete the contest day in which they sit for a math examination, and celebrate their accomplishments at an awards ceremony featuring a keynote address from an acclaimed figure in math, science, or technology.
