The K12 Innovation Challenge is a nationwide competition designed for students in grades 6–12 to showcase bold, creative ideas that can transform the future of education. Participants are invited to submit a 30-second to 2-minute vertical video pitch in one of three exciting categories:
- Tomorrow’s Classroom—reimagine learning environments and explore futuristic tools like VR classrooms or AI tutors;
- Student Life Hacks—develop clever solutions to make school life easier, healthier, or more enjoyable; and
- Gamify It!—create game-based ideas that make learning fun and engaging. Students can enter individually or in teams of up to three.
Competition Process
Entrants will visit https://enrichment.K12.com/innovation-challenge/ and follow the on-screen steps to enter their submission in the competition. After the registration period closes at 5 PM (ET) on February 9, 2026, there will be a virtual judging period that will take place to determine our semi-finalists. Semi-finalists will present their pitch virtually via Zoom to a panel of new judges to determine the top 12 finalist teams who will be invited to present their ideas live in-person in June 2026. Public voting will take place the day of the live in-person presentations. National winning teams and the people's choice winning team will be determined and announced after all presentations have taken place. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.Judging Criteria
