The NFTE World Series of Innovation is a global online competition that challenges young people (ages 13-24) to come up with innovative ideas to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing the world today and win cash prizes for ideas to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Young innovators around the globe enter the competition every fall to vie for a piece of a prize pool worth more than $20,000.
HOW TO COMPETE Explore the nine innovation challenges in this competition cycle and see what grabs your interest.
- PICK A CHALLENGE: Which of the challenges gets your brain ticking and your creativity flowing?
- BRAINSTORM: Click on a Get Started or Accept Challenge button to begin, then start the rapid ideation! Set a timer and come up with as many ideas as you can in short order. Pick the best one to work on. A teacher or coach can help you brainstorm, but the entry you submit must be your own original work.
- SUBMIT YOUR IDEA: Once you get your password, log in to build your entry online and submit whenever you're ready. Do it all in one session or save your work and come back later to finish. Just be sure to submit by the deadline. The next set of challenges launches September 15, 2021 and entries are due by December 15, 2021.
NFTE World Series of Innovation Award
The three highest-scoring entries in each category receive cash prizes. The 1st place winner receives $1500. The 2nd place winner receives $600 and the 3rd place winner receives $300.
