High school students (freshman through senior) from across the state of Nebraska are eligible to submit a recorded two-minute video pitch. A group of judges will view all of the submitted videos and will select the top 10 who will then be a part of a livestreamed event. The top 10 students will pitch their ideas live to a panel of judges who will ask them questions about their business idea. The livestreamed event will be open for the public to view. A panel of judges will narrow down the group to the final five and the top three winners will be selected by popular vote.

  1. Prepare a video describing or demonstrating your business idea, in 2 minutes or less.
  2. Upload it to YouTube.com
  3. Choose your account & video settings carefully. Ensure your video is posted as "public" or "unlisted", but NOT "private".
    1. For Additional Help:
      1. Contact Aliese Hoffman (hoffmanal2@unk.edu or 308-865-8199)
      2. Often the videos you upload are public by default. Posting as public means that your video can be viewed by a vast anonymous audience unless they restrict the viewers. Posting as unlisted allows only viewers to view your video if you send them the YouTube URL (website link to your video).
    2. Complete the Qualtrics Survey (one submission per idea)
    3. Make sure to include your YouTube URL
      1. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azTTdkkJ8Tk
    4. Failure to complete this survey prior to the deadline will automatically disqualify you from this event.
    5. All videos submitted by the deadline will be evaluated, scored and ranked by a panel of judges with entrepreneurial experience.
